    Tradition and Innovation

The desire to take on new challenges, together with a passion for the world of wine, was the motivation that prompted Sabrina and I to move from Milan to the home of Nebbiolo, northern Piedmont, and more precisely to Gattinara. In 1998, after buying land and renovating an old distillery in the historic centre of Gattinara, we started cultivating vineyards and producing Gattinara DOCG and Bramaterra DOC. Sabrina’s great-grandfather, originally from Romagnano Sesia, was the cooper nicknamed ‘Ciupasell’, who dared to cure downy mildew by brushing the grapes one by one with a Bordeaux mixture. His intuition yielded great results which led to grandfather Luigi being awarded diplomas of merit as early as 1930. A bit like our great-grandfather, curiosity and attention to quality have always distinguished us, but it is above all the desire to experiment while respecting tradition that has given us new stimuli and satisfaction. We like to go against the tide while respecting traditional canons: we believe in the personalisation of art and wine is a art for us!

Our company is small and our corporate philosophy has always focused on limited production quantities with great attention to every detail. This combinations is our main characteristic.

  • Poderi Parpinello

The Poderi Parpinello winery represents the cutting edge of wine technology, a culmination of the perfect mix of innovation and tradition. Our wines are enriched with creativity and passion as well as the experience gained from 60 years of  activity in Sardinia. The different geographical areas of the vineyards enable us to produce high quality wines characterized by freshness, sapidity, an optimal structure, and— naturally—the right mineral note. Our Cannonau, Vermentino, Monica, Cagnulari, Torbato and (since 2021) Semidano, as well as international varieties (Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon), have been created to cater to an increasingly knowledgeable market.
